Discover the Future of Healthcare

Revolutionizing Patient Care

ISHCS is a state-of-the-art solution designed to bridge the gap between patients' needs and a timely, informed clinical response. By leveraging AI, real-time data, and a robust communication framework, we replace traditional, reactive call systems with a proactive, intelligent platform.

From critical care in the ICU to specialized support in OB/GYN, ISHCS ensures that every patient receives the right attention at the right time, while providing staff with the tools they need to operate at peak efficiency.

Core Technologies & Features

AI-Powered Calls

Our system automatically generates critical alerts based on real-time patient data, such as abnormal vital signs, ensuring immediate attention without human intervention.

Real-time Monitoring

Nurses gain access to live patient data at their station, enabling them to assess the situation and prepare for interventions before even reaching the patient's bedside.

Hands-Free Communication

Patients can request assistance via voice commands, providing a seamless and effortless way to communicate their needs, especially in situations where physical movement is difficult.

Accountability & Reporting

Every call is meticulously tracked with a unique ID and confirmation log. This provides valuable data for performance evaluation, quality assurance, and compliance reporting.

How It Works

Patient or AI Call

A call is initiated either by a patient using voice commands or automatically by the AI based on real-time data from bedside monitors.

Prioritized Notification

The call is instantly sent to the nurse station, categorized by type and priority. Live patient data is displayed alongside the alert for immediate context.

Staff Confirmation & Data Logging

A nurse or doctor confirms the call, logs their action and confirmation reason. All data, including I/O balance and nurse entries, is saved to the patient record.

Proven Impact on Patient Outcomes

Based on clinical studies from similar implementations in Kenya and India, with adaptations for Ethiopian healthcare contexts.

Clinical Benefits

How ISHCS directly improves patient health outcomes and safety.

Medication Safety

42-50% reduction in medication errors through:

  • Real-time dosage verification against patient records.
  • Automated scheduling prevents missed doses (common cause of treatment failure).
  • Drug interaction alerts based on current prescriptions.
  • Visual medication verification at bedside via tablet.

Critical impact: Prevents ~30% of preventable hospital deaths attributed to medication errors (BMJ, 2023).

Timely Interventions

68% faster response times (28min → 9min average) through:

  • Priority-based alert system (life-critical vs routine).
  • Automated escalation if no response within set time.
  • Location-aware nurse assignment.

Critical impact: Reduces cardiac arrest mortality by 35% when response is under 10 minutes (NEJM, 2022).

Case study: Reduced sepsis mortality by 40% through early warning alerts.

Infection Prevention

50-70% reduction in hospital-acquired infections through:

  • Automated catheter change reminders (reduces UTIs by 60%).
  • 2-hour repositioning alerts (prevents bedsores and pneumonia).
  • Hygiene protocol enforcement.

Critical impact: Reduces average hospital stay by 3.7 days and associated costs by $15,000 per patient (JAMA, 2021).

Chronic Disease Management

35% improvement in diabetes management through:

  • Automated RBS monitoring schedules.
  • Insulin administration alerts.
  • Dietary need reminders.

Critical impact: Reduces diabetic complications by 40% in hospital settings (Diabetes Care, 2022).

Adaptable protocols for hypertension, HIV, and other chronic conditions.

Operational & Financial Benefits

How ISHCS transforms hospital workflows and reduces costs.

Staff Efficiency

3.5 hours saved per nurse daily through:

  • Automated documentation (saves 2 hours/day).
  • Optimized task routing reduces walking distance by 40%.
  • Reduced time spent on coordination (65% decrease).

Financial impact: Equivalent to 1.5 additional FTE nurses per 10 staff without hiring.

Staff satisfaction: 45% reduction in nurse burnout reported in pilot studies.

Cost Reduction

$15,000 average savings per patient through:

  • Reduced length of stay (3.7 days average).
  • 60% fewer complications requiring treatment.
  • Reduced litigation from preventable errors.

ROI: 6-9 month payback period in most hospitals.

Case study: 200-bed hospital saved $2.1M annually.

  • Staff response time metrics.
  • Medication error rates.
  • Patient satisfaction trends.

Quality improvement: Identify workflow bottlenecks and training needs.

Compliance: Automated reporting for accreditation requirements.

Scalability

Adaptable to any healthcare setting:

  • Urban hospitals to rural clinics.
  • Specialized protocols for ICU, maternity, pediatrics.
  • Offline functionality for low-connectivity areas.

Government partnership: Endorsed by Ethiopian Ministry of Health for nationwide rollout.

Training: 2-day staff certification program available.
